Each year between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, we provide an opportunity for a special recognition of parents who have chosen to dedicate themselves to the task of raising children according to Biblical principles. A challenging sermon is presented to the parents and church body. Heartfelt prayers are offered to God on behalf of the parents and the children being dedicated. Special gifts and keepsakes are given to the parents and children in recognition of this special commitment. Typically, special photos are taken as well. Finally, a Parenting 101 class is offered for two weeks prior to the recognition in order to offer support to parents making such a commitment.
